How to calculate your year card
Personal year card: your day of birth + the number of your birth month + the sum of the digits of the year in question. If the result is greater than 22, subtract 22. For example, for someone born on July 15, the card for 2027 is 15 + 7 + (2+0+2+7) = 33, 33 − 22 = 11, which is Strength.
Universal year card: the sum of the digits of the year itself. For 2027 it’s 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 11. The universal card describes the mood and background everyone feels, while the personal card shows how you in particular will live through the year.
Many tarot readers believe the personal year card is in effect from one birthday to the next. Others use the calendar year. Try both and see which one describes your life more accurately.
